Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary:
•The Director of Performance Improvement Anesthesia is responsible for successful implementation of assigned Performance Improvement projects as defined and prioritized by HCA’s Chief Operating Office and Hospital Based Medicine Operations. The Anesthesia SME will work directly with Division representatives, Facility management, CSG, and PI team to collaborate and deliver timely and value-added assessments, action plans, and PI results that help improve facility Surgery operations. This position is critical in achieving targeted financial objectives through process, cost, and productivity improvements.
Responsibilities:
+ Apply performance improvement and operations experience to support the development of enterprise-wide projects and tools for hospital teams
+ Support data compilation and assessment to support performance improvement and operational improvement activities and actions
+ Support toolkit and content creation that will accelerate division and facility operational and financial improvement efforts
+ Support PI with analytics and recommendations to drive facility-specific improvements across perioperative services
+ Assist in designing meaningful and realistic action plans for the implementation of process improvement ideas.
+ Assist in ensuring that all ideas that are presented for Steering Committee approval will maintain or improve patient safety and are consistent with regulatory compliance policy.
+ Independently lead Surgery meetings to identify and follow-up on process and cost savings ideas.
+ Facilitate and lead multi-disciplinary teams to support PI projects across the HCA enterprise.
+ Demonstrate the ability to facilitate “Rapid Design” methodology in order to lead teams in brainstorming sessions on identifying new cost savings and process improvement ideas.
+ Follow the defined methodology used to support PI projects in the field on an ongoing basis; provide feedback and lessons learned on the methodology
+ Develop and maintain effective relationships with support departments, including at a minimum: Clinical Services Group, Quality Management, Supply Chain, Management Engineers, and others.
+ Actively communicate with facility, division, and corporate stakeholders to manage the project expectations and activities.
+ Develop, execute, and maintain project work plans for each current project and work directly with the department local leadership and the core team directors.
Required:
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 7+ Plus years’ experience in Perioperative Clinical Services
+ 5+ plus years hospital Surgical Services Management Experience
+ Experience in leading large scale Perioperative Clinical projects and operations
+ Must be proficient in written, verbal and presentation skills
Preferred:
+ Master’s Degree
+ Experience with Labor Management Systems
+ Current state RN License
