The Lactation Consultant for the LDRP assumes the responsibility for assessing, implementing and evaluating lactation support services to expectant/new parents and staff. The Lactation Consultant consistently applies specialized knowledge and skills in the management of the new mother/family. The Consultant demonstrates leadership skills, learning theories, flexibility, receptiveness and the ability to instill self-confidence and motivation in others. These functions are performed in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy, policies, protocols/ procedures and adhere to HCA’s ethical and compliance principles.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

+ Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

+ (IBCLC) International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
