    About the role

     

    In a GMP biopharmaceutical production operation, leads shift Utility Operations, maintenance Technicians, and directs vendors and subcontractors to perform work in a safe and efficient manner. Uses technical and operational skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, utility systems, GMP utilities, equipment and grounds. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance. Applies several trade skills such as carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.

    What** **you’ll** **do

    + Follows all GMP and GDP processes and documentation, applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.

    + Leads shift operations, assigns work orders, and provides technical and procedural training of coworkers and subcontractors.

    + Reviews monthly service request summaries and correct recurrent operational problems.

    + Oversees and inspects the work performed by engineering staff.

    + Formulates and implements a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.

    + Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment.

    + Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed. Maintains inventory of supplies and tools and orders materials to finish the tasks.

    + Consults and coordinates with clients to schedule maintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption and inconvenience.

    + Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records as needed.

    + Responds to emergencies, summoning assistance as needed.

    + Completes other duties as assigned.

    + Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. Coordinates and assigns tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

    What** **you’ll** **need

     

    Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and four years ofdemonstratedability in complete buildingand utility operationor equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to problem solve.

    + Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

    + Decisions made with thorough knowledge of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and goals. Responsible for setting own project goals. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.

    + Responsible for personal safety and the safety of those who are affected by your work.

    CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Assistant Chief Engineer position is $ 105, 000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $ 125, 000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
