Hirschbach Motor Lines is launching a brand-new maintenance shop in Indianapolis—and we’re looking for a hands-on leader to run the show. • What You’ll Do
+ Lead the launch of a brand-new shop location—set the standard from day one.
+ Oversee all shop operations: safety, quality control, inventory, diagnostics, and dispatch readiness.
+ Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of diesel technicians and support staff.
+ Maintain real-time communication with internal departments about out-of-service equipment, maintenance timelines, and operational needs.
+ Ensure OSHA, EPA, and FMCSA compliance and manage parts inventory cost-effectively.
+ Drive technician productivity and accountability through daily floor supervision and performance coaching.
+ Coordinate nearby dedicated account support and handle offsite vendor activities and inspections.
+ Use diagnostic tools and software (Freightliner, International, Paccar, Cummins) to troubleshoot and verify repairs.
+ Maintain and optimize Maintenance Management Software (MMS) and reporting processes.
• Who You Are
+ A strong leader with 4+ years of diesel maintenance and management experience.
+ Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but your experience is what matters most.
+ A proactive problem-solver with a get-it-done mindset and “All In to Win” attitude.
+ Skilled in diagnosing diesel engines, managing inventories, and leading shop floor operations.
+ Experienced with FHWA 396.12 and 396.25 requirements and annual inspection certifications.
+ Technically fluent in fleet maintenance software, P&L, and diagnostic systems.
+ Class A CDL preferred; valid driver's license required.
• Compensation & Benefits
+ $80,000 – $100,000 base salary (based on experience)
