Amazon Devices & Services team provides that opportunity and is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to help launch new device and app experiences for our customers.
We’re looking for a senior technical program management professional to help define and deliver world-class customer experiences. Your passion, drive and intellect will encourage thoughtful, risk-taking behavior that maximizes value for customers and benefit to the Amazon devices business. In this high impact and high visibility position, your ability to influence and lead while acting swiftly will be key towards delivering right results.
Key job responsibilities
• Identify, quantify, prioritize and launch new strategic opportunities, roadmaps and product features to support the growth of the Amazon Devices business around the world.
• Work cross-functionally to assemble project teams, identify appropriate resources needed, assign responsibilities and manage go-to-market activities to ensure timely, well-executed launches.
• Regularly and proactively assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations and make trade-offs balancing business needs against constraints.
Create, maintain and disseminate project and program information to stakeholders including executive leadership as appropriate and drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with varied priorities.

The successful candidate will be deeply analytical, have technical aptitude, work effectively in a matrix organization, and be adept at translating data from a variety of sources into action for teams to deliver high quality, simple, delightful experiences that customers love.

Our team enables app and game developers throughout the world to thrive on Amazon entertainment devices, with products spanning across the categories of streaming media players, smart TVs, tablets, and multi-modal devices. Our team requires leaders who move quickly, have an entrepreneurial spirit and an unrelenting tenacity to get things done, and are capable of solving complex problems.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
