    Description

CAPE MET aims to excite, educate, and empower 3P partners to grow and be successful with their investments on Amazon devices. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - Technical (PMT) to help bring this vision to life by delivering a magically connected developer experience through our Developer Portal infrastructure. This role will own developer.amazon.com, DevAssistant (LLM Chatbot), and search experiences that serve hundreds of thousands of monthly visitors and dozens of internal D&S brands. You will define the product strategy, feature design, and technology approach while working independently with limited guidance. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical acumen with product management expertise to modernize our technical foundation and deliver solutions that delight our developer community.

We prefer to hire out of our Bellevue or Seattle offices, but we're open to other CAPE-approved city hubs.

    Key job responsibilities

As Senior PM-T, you will own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Developer Portal infrastructure, contributing to OP1/OP2 narratives, 3YP, and engineering roadmaps. You will drive product discussions with diverse stakeholders including developers, engineering teams, and executive leadership to align on technical direction and priorities. In this role, you will define and execute the technical strategy for AI-powered solutions like DevAssistant, ensuring architectural decisions enable future innovation while evaluating emerging technologies to make data-driven recommendations for search, personalization, and documentation systems.

You will establish processes and mechanisms to measure product success through KPIs, adoption metrics, and customer satisfaction. Working closely with engineering teams, you will make smart trade-offs between time, effort, and features while maintaining high technical standards. You will own product communications including PR/FAQs, technical specifications, and strategic documentation to ensure clear alignment across teams and stakeholders. Additionally, you will mentor others and participate in PM-T hiring assessments, helping to grow the product management community at Amazon.

    A day in the life

On any given day, you might start by reviewing DevAssistant's performance metrics and collaborating with engineering teams to optimize its AI/ML models for improved developer assistance. You'll dive deep into technical discussions about search architecture improvements, making data-driven recommendations on technology choices while considering scalability and future innovation. Throughout the day, you'll move between writing technical specifications for new features, presenting portal strategy to executive stakeholders, and mentoring other product managers on technical product management best practices. You'll partner with engineering teams to evaluate emerging technologies, make smart trade-offs in feature design, and ensure our documentation systems meet developer needs. Your technical expertise will help you translate complex architectural decisions into clear narratives that resonate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
