Current advancements are underway in autonomous movement and mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, manipulation, simulation, robotic management software, predictive analytics, and much more. We are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Test Development Engineer with a proven track record of implementing best in class test techniques and processes within a complex manufacturing environment. This individual will primarily focus on manufacturing test development & support for manipulation applications which leverage Robotic Arms such as Fanuc, ABB, custom End-of-Arm tools and power distribution systems. You will work closely with engineering, production, test engineers, and external vendors to deliver and work with the highest quality products.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Actively foster and drive culture of inclusion

     

    - Develop or implement manufacturing test strategies and solutions for robotic manipulation applications.

     

    - Design and implement automated test solutions, including hardware interfaces and software

     

    - Collaborate with product teams to improve product testability and manufacturability

     

    - Develop test programs using standard software tools (LabVIEW/TestStand, Python)

     

    - Review and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

     

    - Support EOL test stations at contract manufacturers

     

    - Persistently promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.

    - Up to 25% travel required, including international travel

    Basic Qualifications

    - BS in Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field

     

    - 5+ years of manufacturing test engineering experience

     

    - Experience with industrial robotics (Fanuc, ABB), PLCs and safety systems

     

    - Programming proficiency in LabVIEW/TestStand/Python

     

    - Demonstrated expertise in test strategy development, defining test requirements, and implement manufacturing test solutions to support NPI programs

     

    - Knowledge of power systems and electrical controls

     

    - Ability to read and debug electrical schematics

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Master’s degree in Electrical, Robotics or Mechatronics Engineering.

     

    - Working knowledge of Electrical & Safety Standards, functional safety systems for industrial controls.

     

    - Experience in support or maintenance in manufacturing or field sustaining environment.

     

    - Experience developing & maintaining Automated Test Systems using LabVIEW/TestStand, Python, MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent tools.

     

    - Experience with PLCs, networking, Linux & Docker systems.

     

    - Knowledge of state-of-the-art automated test equipment and test fixture design.

     

    - Excellent business communication skills.
