Hunton Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing & Administrative Intern to join the Marketing team. This role supports both marketing initiatives and administrative functions, helping to ensure smooth operations across internal campaigns, promotional efforts, and employee engagement programs. This part-time position is on-site at Hunton Distribution located on Greens Road, 77032.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate and manage the transition and scheduling of the welcome email initiative, particularly during high-volume periods such as summer.
+ Maintain and update customer databases; execute e-blasts and digital communications via platforms such as Constant Contact.
+ Help with rebate and incentive claims, including but not limited to Co-op, CenterPoint, Entergy, local, and national programs.
+ Support social media content planning and scheduling, with a focus on the Houston Trane account; include recognition content such as birthdays and anniversaries.
+ Create blog posts, flyers, and general marketing content as needed.
+ Manage the ordering process for promotional items and business cards.
+ Assist in planning and executing company events and internal functions such as Quarterly Customer Appreciation and Community Outreach events.
+ Process and apply Spiff credits in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Distribute "You've Been Noticed" employee recognition items and Hunton Store orders.
+ Support in event planning to include logistics and set up.
+ Additional marketing duties as needed.
Qualifications:
+ Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
+ Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact).
+ Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools.
+ Basic graphic design or content writing skills are a PLUS.
+ Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and maintain confidentiality when handling employee or customer data.
+ Brings a can-do attitude and readily assists across Hunton Distribution departments as needed
+ Approaches work with enthusiasm and a collaborative spirit, supporting various teams as needed.
Preferred Experience:
+ 1–2 years of work experience or administrative support.
+ Leverage formal college education in marketing and effective communication.
+ Possess excellent written/verbal communication skills.
+ Pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing or communications.
