    Responsibilities:

    + Responsible for the day-to-day activities of all calibration technicians.

    + Responsibilities include registration, calibration, and maintenance of plant instrumentation by current Good Manufacturing Practices, policies and procedures, as well as administrative activities related to personnel reporting to him/her.

    + Assure that all instrumentation in the facility is properly calibrated and in top operational condition.

    + Review and modify the existing calibration program to fit the ever-increasing need for continuous operation of systems/ equipment.

    + Assure proper troubleshooting of systems/equipment to minimize downtime and out-of-tolerance conditions.

    + Provide leadership for people reporting to him/her and inform management of the current, as well as future, instrumentation needs of the facility.

    + Close working relations with Maintenance and Engineering staff and other supervisors and managers.

    + Must have a good understanding of project management.

    + Must have good verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.

    + Must develop a good understanding of the details of systems/equipment and be able to work in the cGMP (FDA regulated) environment.

    + Accountable for minimized instrument-related downtime and out-of-tolerance conditions in all areas of the facility.

    + Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

    + Train lower-level employees.

    + Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/management, and/or client to support normal operations at the department.

    Requirements:

    + AD, / Calibration / Instrumentation/ Electronic.

    + Technical College degree with 7+ years of experience required or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

    Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

    + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipment's, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    + He / she may frequently work inside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and or humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere, may be exposed to fumes and the risk of electrical shock, and occasionally work on ladders in high places, in small spaces, such as lift/metering stations, manholes, tanks and wet wells. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
