Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team in Rochester, New York. This position offers an excellent opportunity to manage essential financial tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of bookkeeping principles.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely posting of transactions.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and accurately record cash receipts and deposits.

• Prepare vouchers, review checks, and collaborate with payroll services to ensure payroll accuracy.

• Generate and distribute monthly financial balance reports.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

• Handle billing and collection of rental fees, ensuring timely payments.

• Post receipts and maintain organized financial records.

• Support the preparation and submission of claims when required.

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation, including attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and general bookkeeping practices.

• Familiarity with payroll coordination and related tasks.

• Competence in data entry and financial record-keeping.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis.

• Experience with month-end close processes.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively within deadlines.
