Description
Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical General Ledger Staff Accountant to support a key client in Louisville, KY. This on-site, full-time opportunity offers immediate benefits, competitive pay, and room to grow with a respected and professional organization.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy across all accounts
+ Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closings
+ Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports
+ Analyze balance sheet accounts and perform account reconciliations
+ Support audits by providing documentation and analysis as needed
+ Collaborate with finance and operational teams to resolve discrepancies
+ Use Microsoft Excel extensively, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP, for reconciliations and reporting
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ 2+ years of experience in general ledger or corporate accounting
+ Advanced Excel skills required – including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP
+ Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
+ Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or QuickBooks) is a plus
+ Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
+ Excellent communication and time management skills
