Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounts payable processes while supporting tax preparation and other critical accounting tasks. This position requires someone with construction industry experience and a solid background in accounting systems.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable, including handling check runs and ensuring timely payments.

• Assist the Controller with preparing sales and use tax documentation.

• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance.

• Collaborate with team members to audit financial data and prepare reports.

• Manage billing functions, ensuring invoices are accurate and delivered on schedule.

• Support accounts receivable tasks, including payment tracking and collections.

• Implement and maintain ERP systems to optimize financial processes.

• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all accounting transactions.

• Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial data promptly.

• Contribute to the improvement of accounting workflows and processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable processes, including check runs.

• Hands-on experience with accounting software systems such as ADP, Ceridian, Concur, and ERP platforms.

• Familiarity with accounts receivable, billing, and auditing functions.

• Demonstrated ability to prepare sales and use tax documents accurately.

• Previous experience in the construction industry is required.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in financial record management.

• Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial data efficiently.

• Proficiency in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
