Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist to join our team in Monterey, California. This role revolves around managing accounts receivable in the agriculture industry, with a focus on maintaining positive customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage a diverse portfolio of clients in the agriculture sector, including growers, distributors, and suppliers.

• Secure payment on overdue accounts through various methods of communication including phone, email, and written correspondence.

• Adhere to company policies and industry standards while negotiating payment plans and terms with clients.

• Collaborate with sales and accounting teams to reconcile any account discrepancies and resolve billing issues.

• Keep meticulous records of all collection activities in the company’s financial software.

• Prepare and present regular reports on account status, aging receivables, and collection efforts for management review.

• Identify high-risk accounts and escalate them to management for further action.

• Ensure all collection activities comply with federal and state debt collection laws and regulations.

• Foster strong relationships with clients to facilitate prompt payments and encourage long-term partnerships.

• Support the finance team with additional tasks such as invoice processing and credit assessments as needed. Requirements • The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Collections Specialist or in a related role.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.

• The candidate must be well-versed in using Accurint.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a necessity.

• The candidate should have proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

• Familiarity with Epic Software is highly desirable.

• The candidate must have experience in Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in answering inbound calls is necessary.

• The candidate should have knowledge of Billing Functions.

• Must have experience in Claim Administration.

• Proficiency in Collection Processes is required.
