    Position Overview:

    The Accounting Specialist will handle a variety of accounting and financial tasks essential to daily operations. This is a part-time role requiring 20 hours per week across 4 days, ideal for professionals seeking flexibility.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Reconciliations: Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

    + General Ledger (GL) Entries: Prepare and post journal entries to maintain updated and accurate GL records.

    + Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to provide actionable insights for leadership.

    + Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage AP/AR processes, including vendor payments, invoicing, and collections.

    + Supporting Audit Processes: Assist with internal and external audits by providing organized and accurate documentation.

    + Expense Monitoring: Track and report company expenses to ensure compliance with financial policies.

    + Data Accuracy: Maintain detailed records and ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a professional accounting role, with demonstrated expertise in reconciliations, financial reporting, and posting GL entries.

    + Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting tools and systems (e.i. Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft Excel) is required.

    + Detail-Oriented: Ability to work meticulously and deliver accurate results in a timely manner.

    + Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

    + Education: Associate degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent work experience.
