Description

We are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Collections Specialist with expertise in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) billing to join our team in Duarte, California. This Medical Billing Collections Specialist position is offering an opportunity to contribute your skills in claims management, denial resolution, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and other payer requirements, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit accurate claims for Skilled Nursing Facility services to insurance payers in a timely manner.

• Analyze denied claims, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures to reduce future denials.

• Draft and submit comprehensive appeals to secure appropriate reimbursements for denied claims.

• Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records while adhering to all relevant regulations and payer guidelines.

• Communicate with insurance companies and other payers to resolve outstanding claims and secure payments.

• Stay informed about federal, state, and local billing and coding regulations to ensure compliance.

• Collaborate with administrative and clinical teams to improve billing workflows and align documentation processes.

• Generate detailed reports on billing trends, claim statuses, and resolution timelines for management review.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, with a focus on Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) services.

• Proficiency in processing Medicare, Medi-Cal, and other payer claims.

• Strong knowledge of medical collections, appeals, and denial management.

• Familiarity with federal, state, and local billing and coding regulations.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate patient records.

• Effective communication skills for coordinating with payers and internal teams.

• Ability to generate and interpret billing reports for trend analysis and issue resolution.
