Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing accounts receivable processes, supporting cash applications, and handling collections. Additionally, you will serve as a backup for accounts payable tasks and may contribute to user testing within an ERP implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts receivable operations, including cash applications and collections.

• Serve as a backup for accounts payable duties to ensure seamless financial processes.

• Participate in user testing and support activities related to ERP system implementation.

• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

• Prepare and review billing statements and invoices for accuracy.

• Utilize accounting software to manage and streamline financial tasks.

• Monitor and maintain accurate financial records and reports.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies and improve financial workflows.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Provide insights and recommendations for improving accounting processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting functions.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as ADP, Ceridian, and Concur.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and user testing processes.

• Strong understanding of auditing and financial reconciliation practices.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to analyze and resolve financial discrepancies effectively.

• Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Knowledge of billing and collection procedures.
