Description
We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's project team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Des Moines, Iowa, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in managing accounts payable processes and thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable processing, ensuring timely and accurate handling of invoices and payments.
• Address and resolve AP exceptions, including discrepancies and errors in invoices.
• Utilize advanced accounting software systems, such as Oracle Fusion, Workday, or similar platforms.
• Perform account coding and maintain accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accrual accounting standards.
• Conduct audits to verify the accuracy of AP data and adherence to corporate policies.
• Process payments through Automated Clearing House (ACH) and other financial systems.
• Provide support for data processing and reconciliation tasks.
• Monitor and improve AP workflows to reduce backlog and enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable processes, preferably within organizations with $1 billion or more in revenue.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as Oracle Fusion, Workday, or Concur.
• Strong knowledge of AP exception processing and resolution.
• Familiarity with accrual accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to perform account coding and maintain detailed financial records.
• Experience with automated clearing house (ACH) payment processing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for effective collaboration.
