Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Boeing Exploration Systems (BES) capability is seeking **Flight Engineering Senior Manager** to manage engineers and specialists performing integrated analysis in support of BES analysis, scope, and skill development from **Huntsville, AL** ; **Kennedy Space Center, FL** ; or **New Orleans, LA** . This manager will lead multiple teams of engineers across Vibration, Shock, and Acoustics (VS&A), Aerodynamics, Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C), Loads and Dynamics, and Weight and Mass Properties teams.

Position Responsibilities:

+ Manages employees and mid-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering.

+ Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures, and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives.

+ Leverages cross-functional leadership abilities to collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve complementary cross-program objectives and to reach desired outcomes.

+ Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.

+ Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

+ Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.

+ Manages, develops, and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

+ 10+ years of engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

+ Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and/or Astrodynamics Engineering.

+ Master of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Astrodynamics Engineering, and/or Engineering Management.

+ Experience leading an engineering team as a Technical Lead Engineer (TLE), LX, etc.

+ Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.

+ Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners.

+ Master of Science in an engineering discipline.

+ Previous management experience.

+ Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion, transparency, and trust.

+ Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes.

+ Previous experience in leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams.

+ Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance.

+ Can up-level existing team by hiring high performance talent, growing leaders and helping underperforming members.

+ Can gain trust of team and provide guidance for their careers.

NASA Access:

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $178,500 - $241,500
