Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to lead and optimize the operations of our accounting department in Dallas, Texas. This role involves supervising a team of professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring smooth workflows and compliance with policies.
• Assign tasks and projects to team members, including entry-level Accountant, AP Coordinator, and AR Coordinator, to maintain accuracy and accountability.
• Develop and implement new processes to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Manage the company’s general ledger, accounts receivable, cash flow, and collections to maintain financial health.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of financial statements and audit documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of taxes in compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting efforts to support strategic financial planning.
• Monitor and enhance accounting systems and procedures, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet financial reporting objectives and deadlines. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting management or a similar leadership role.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP platforms and tools such as BlackLine, Concur, and ADP.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.
• Familiarity with audit processes and tax regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and detail-oriented work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
