    Our client, a well-established property management company in Sacramento, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Property Manager to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and affordable housing compliance, with a focus on managing recertifications and related documentation to support the property management team.

    Responsibilities:

    + Oversee and process resident recertifications in compliance with LIHTC and other affordable housing regulations.

    + Prepare, review, and maintain accurate documentation, including lease agreements, income verifications, and compliance reports.

    + Assist in catching up on overdue recertifications and ensure timely completion of all related tasks.

    + Support the Property Manager in daily operations, including resident relations, leasing activities, and property inspections.

    + Communicate with residents to collect documentation, address inquiries, and ensure compliance with program requirements.

    + Monitor and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local housing regulations.

    + Assist with applicant screenings, lease signings, and other leasing tasks as needed.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Required: In-depth knowledge of LIHTC programs and affordable housing compliance.

    + Proven experience with resident recertifications, income verifications, and related documentation.

    + Familiarity with HUD, Section 8, or other affordable housing programs is highly desirable.

    + Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.

    + Proficient in property management software (e.g., Yardi, OneSite) and Microsoft Office.

    + Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    + Previous experience in property management, preferably as an Assistant Property Manager or similar role.
