Description We are looking for a dedicated Receivable & Treasury Manager to lead and enhance our Receivables and Treasury Services unit in Santa Barbara, California. This role involves overseeing critical financial functions such as student billing, collections, cash handling, and credit card merchant processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and treasury operations, as well as a proven ability to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Receivables and Treasury Services unit, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Oversee student billing, sundry receivables, and debt recovery processes to maintain efficient financial operations.
• Manage campus-wide cash handling, including petty cash programs, departmental deposits, and electronic payment processing.
• Ensure the effective operation of systems related to student receivables, cashiering, and non-student receivables.
• Serve as the primary coordinator for campus credit card security compliance and internal financial controls.
• Represent the organization in system-wide and campus-wide financial discussions and decision-making processes.
• Develop and enforce cash handling controls and credit card processing standards to minimize risks.
• Supervise staff and provide training to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Analyze and reconcile accounts to maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address financial challenges and implement improvements. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience in accounts receivable management and account reconciliation.
• Knowledge of treasury operations, including cash handling and credit card processing.
• Familiarity with auditing processes and internal controls.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and represent the organization effectively.
• Ability to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies at federal, state, and institutional levels.
