STAFF ACCOUNTANT - Manufacturing Facility Northeast of Atlanta
We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our client's team in Winder, GA. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
+ Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
+ Prepare and post journal entries, including recurring entries for prepaid expenses and fixed asset depreciation.
+ Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes by creating supporting schedules and reports.
+ Generate and distribute customer invoices while also supporting vendor purchase receipt processes.
+ Collaborate with the team to provide documentation for financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
+ Process and distribute 1099 forms to vendors, verifying accurate transaction categorizations.
+ Perform bank account reconciliations, researching discrepancies and resolving chargebacks as needed.
+ Assist with budget preparation, forecasting activities, and ensuring timely financial reporting.
+ Support inventory audits and periodic inventory counts, ensuring accuracy in records.
+ Provide backup support for other accounting team members and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with concentration in accounting
+ 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
+ Must have a minimum of 3 years experience with Excel (including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
+ Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
+ Must have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents; organizing and analyze data is necessary.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
+ Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
+ Ability to work with multi-department teams.
+ Must work well in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong customer service mentality.
+ Must be detail oriented.
