Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with financial data and payroll processes. The role requires strong attention to detail and proficiency in accounting systems to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll for multiple clients, ranging from 1 to 40 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.

• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and Online versions to handle bookkeeping tasks efficiently.

• Assist with month-end closing procedures, including data entry and account reconciliation.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all financial processes.

• Collaborate with clients and team members to address any discrepancies or questions.

• Provide support in using Drake Accounting software, if applicable.

• Generate financial reports and summaries to help clients make informed business decisions. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Online versions is required.

• Familiarity with Drake Accounting software is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures.

• Ability to perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable/receivable.

• Skilled in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

• No degree required, but relevant experience is essential.
