    About the Role

     

    As Senior Attorney/Partner, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and growing our presence in the Houston area.

     

    This is an ideal role for a results-driven attorney who thrives on initiative, organization, and communication. You will also have the advantage of versatile work location options and the opportunity to develop collaborative relationships with the wider firm, including travel to the Chicago office if desired.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Act as the senior legal leader for the Houston office, managing cases and mentoring paralegal staff.

    + Work closely with other team members to take over ongoing cases and build a full docket of claims.

    + Ensure timely communication with clients, team members, and leadership throughout the lifecycle of every case.

    + Review legal documents and filings with minimal supervision, demonstrating advanced knowledge and thorough attention to detail.

    + Leverage your organization and expertise to streamline processes, improve case outcomes, and prepare the office for future growth.

    + Develop and maintain relationships with clients, local partners, and firm stakeholders to create a strong presence in Texas.

    Compensation and Benefits

     

    + Base salary of $200K, with potential for equity partnership based on experience and/or book of business.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 7 years of experience in litigation, with a strong background in personal injury cases preferred.

    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey case updates and proactively engage with stakeholders.

    • Outstanding organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple cases and maintaining accurate documentation.

    • A self-starter mentality, demonstrating initiative, reliability, and a commitment to delivering excellent results.

    • Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the state bar.

    • Experience in civil or complex litigation, including plaintiff or defense work.

    • Optional: An existing book of business may qualify for equity partnership consideration.
