    Description

    Job Summary: The Accountant will manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting principles, and support the company’s financial goals by performing a variety of accounting tasks. This role requires a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to analyze financial data effectively.

    Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and examine financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP or applicable standards.

    + Manage general ledger entries, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

    + Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.

    + Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

    + Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.

    + Process payroll and prepare payroll reports as needed.

    + Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

    + Assist with audits by preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation.

    + Manage and monitor company expenses, ensuring alignment with budget guidelines.

    + Maintain accurate and organized financial records and support documentation.

    + Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

     

    Provide support for month-end and year-end close processes

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    + Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or relevant certification preferred.

    + 2+ years of accounting experience; experience in [industry, if relevant] preferred.

    + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).

    + Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
