Description

Our well-established client in the Rathdrum area is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support our growing finance and accounting operations. This role will work closely with our Controller and serve as a key contributor to the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of our financial reporting.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who’s detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to take ownership of both recurring responsibilities and process improvement initiatives. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of our accounting infrastructure and help drive operational efficiency as we grow.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Act as a trusted right hand to the Controller, assisting with all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations

+ Provide backup coverage for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing

+ Perform and review General Ledger account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies

+ Lead or support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting

+ Reconcile corporate credit card activity, ensuring proper expense coding and documentation compliance

+ Support internal process improvements and system optimization to enhance reporting and control functions

SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $90,000

Requirements

Core Focus Areas – Must-Have Experience:

We are specifically looking for someone with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in:

+ Cost Accounting – Including cost tracking, standard costing, and variance analysis

+ COGS – Understanding the financial impact of cost flows and inventory movement

+ WIP Accounting – Particularly in environments where inventory or project tracking is essential (e.g., manufacturing, construction, or production-based operations)

•Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ Strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)

+ Previous experience in a manufacturing setting

+ Proven ability to work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams

+ Previous management experience is a strong plus

+ A proactive mindset and eagerness to streamline processes and support growth initiatives
