Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager in the public sector. This role is based in Fairfield, New Jersey and will focus on overseeing tax operations in a boutique CPA firm. This role will involve managing the tax department, handling various tax returns, and interacting with clients directly.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and increase the Tax Department headcount in response to the expanding client base.

• Become a valued member and contributor to the management team.

• Handle tax knowledge related to individual, partnership, and corporate returns.

• Manage and delegate work to staff efficiently and effectively.

• Directly interact with clients and respond to their inquiries.

• Utilize various accounting software systems for tax operations.

• Perform auditing and compliance duties as per industry standards.

• Handle entity formation and income tax accounting tasks.

• Utilize knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax for tax operations.

• Oversee and manage various accounting functions within the firm. Requirements • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to handle various Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Strong understanding of Compliance procedures

• Knowledge of Entity Formation processes

• Proficiency in Income Tax Accounting

• Ability to work in a team and independently

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• CPA certification is preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Must have strong analytical skills

• Attention to detail is crucial for success in this role

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
