Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position is based in Los Angeles, California, and offers the opportunity to manage critical accounting functions, including trust accounting, financial reporting, and ledger operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and a proactive approach to ensuring accurate and efficient financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and recorded.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Oversee trust accounting processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather and verify financial data for accurate reporting.

• Support audit processes by providing required documentation and addressing inquiries.

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve and streamline financial workflows and procedures.

• Ensure confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.

• Participate in month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring all deadlines are met. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with preference given to those in the property management or real estate sectors.

• Familiarity with trust accounting practices is highly desirable.

• Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Yardi, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial processes.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
