    Robert Half is partnering with a growing Credit Union on a Senior FP& A Analyst opening. This role reports to the Finance Manager and offers some WFH options.

    Position Summary:

    The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in providing financial insights and strategic support to senior management. This role is responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting complex financial modeling, and analyzing performance metrics. The ideal candidate will have experience in the banking or credit union industry, with strong expertise in SQL to support data extraction and analysis from core banking systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Develop, maintain, and improve complex financial models and forecasting tools to support budgeting, profitability analysis, and strategic planning.

    + Extract, analyze, and interpret large datasets from core banking systems using advanced SQL queries.

    + Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and executive dashboards.

    + Partner with business units to assess financial impact of business initiatives and recommend strategies to drive financial performance.

    + Support regulatory reporting and compliance with NCUA, FFIEC, and other financial regulatory requirements.

    + Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve data governance and ensure data integrity across reporting platforms.

    + Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance member value.

    + Assist in evaluating product performance, pricing strategies, and cost-benefit analysis for new programs or services.

    + Lead or participate in cross-functional projects and present findings to executive leadership.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred.

    + 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, within a credit union or bank is required.

    + Strong SQL skills required; ability to write complex queries, join large datasets, and optimize performance.

    + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred.

    + Deep understanding of GAAP, financial modeling, and forecasting techniques.

    + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
