**Pay Range:** $61,068 - $99,403
Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
Summary:
This position will be responsible for Reimbursement functions including on-going financial analysis, participating in the annual filings of various cost reports, audits, and other related items, Community Benefits Report, and maintaining Third Party Liability accounts. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1-3 years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and financial analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Advanced Excel skills including V-lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Demonstrates a desire to continuously improve accounting and financial reporting skills through proactive professional development efforts
• Ability to work independently and creatively
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• CPA or master’s degree
• Healthcare industry experience
• Experience with reimbursement and revenue cycle
Responsibilities:
• Participate in the monthly reimbursement close including third-party reserves, bundled payment settlements, and related journal entries
• Prepare, compile and analyze data related to Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare cost reports, governmental audits, other related items
• Work with external consultants with the filing, amendment and audit of third-party cost reports
• Assist in the preparation of workpapers for internal and external reporting including the Community Benefits Report and 990 Schedule H of IRS Form 990
• Coordinate completion of Medicare Wage Index survey, Occupational Mix survey, and other required governmental surveys
• Stay informed on Reimbursement issues impacting the organization. Assist in completing impact analysis of proposed regulations and rate changes
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of Third-party/Medicare PIP, cost report reserves, and bundled payment settlement liabilities
• Satisfy requests for ad-hoc reports from senior financial management
• Other duties as assigned
