    *_Position Summary _*

     

    Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic sonographic procedures.

     

    *_Minimum Qualifications_*_ _

     

    *

    o *Minimum Education: Graduate of approved program of Ultrasound/Sonography - Required*

    o *Minimum Experience: *Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

    o *Certification/Licensure:* Licenses: ARDMS Registered or if new graduate, must be ARDMS eligible and pass a test in at least one area (i.e. Abdomen, OBGYN) including physics within one year of employment.

    Must have Breast endorsement from ARDMS. NM Sonographer license required.

     

    Basic Life Support (BLS). New Hires and Transfers have 90 days to obtain required certification.

     

    Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
