Duties Description -The approval of purchase orders under $50,000.-The assignment and management of P-card holders.-Test and troubleshoot of Oracle Financials’ updates in the non-production environment.-Creation and management of Oracle Financials’ reports for Management, Internal Controls, and Internal Audit.-Updates to the requisition and purchasing workflow for the Administration department.-Troubleshoot support of non-routine I-Procurement and Purchasing issues-Other ad-hoc projects in the Administration department as needed.
Minimum Qualifications -Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR-One year of permanent, competitive class service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Eligible titles include: Contract Management Specialist 1, Assistant Office Services Manager. OR-A bachelor’s degree and two years of purchasing experience.Please be advised that the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) does not offer sponsorship for employment visas to employees or potential employees. Additional Comments The salary range shown includes location pay and/or geographic pay.For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply. At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State.
