    Job Title: Training and Development Supervisor

    Reports to: Ann Iberg

     

    Effective Date: 05/22/2025

     

    Job Status: Full Time

     

    FLSA Status: Salaried

     

    Work Schedule: 1** **st** **Shift (Flexibility to work 2** **nd** **) Weekends as needed

     

    Travel Requirements: 0-50%

    Job Summary:

    **FUNCTION:** To Train and educate new and existing employees in all plant compliance programs.

    Principal Responsibilities:

    + Train new maintenance, rendering and management employees including current plant employees at all levels in compliance programs. Thus performing training to an authorized levels.

    + Electrical Safety

    + Industrial Truck Program

    + Fall Protection

    + Maintenance Safety Training

    + Hazard Communication

    + Hazmat

    + Line Break Permit

    + Contractor Program

    + PPE

    + Respiratory Protection

    + Railcar Safety

    + Any Other Specialized Training

    + Perform Compliance Audits (fire extinguisher, emergency lights, ladders, fall protection equipment, eye was stations, haz-mat equipment, calibrate IH monitors monthly, fire suppression system monthly inspections, etc.)

    + Participate at all levels in the emergency response effort

    + Work closely with HR training department to ensure proper training requirements are met

    + Log and track all compliance training

    + Assist with compliance program updates

    + Conducts Contractor Orientation

    + Evaluates newly hired maintenance employees to ensure they meet the safety qualifications of the position

    + Assist in special projects as needed by the department and other duties as assigned

    + Attend and give input during training meetings

    + Work schedule fluctuates depending training demands

    + Job performance is measured by the Safety & Health Manager on such criteria as quality of training and communication ability with employees

    Requirements

    + Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent

    + Minimum 2 years production experience to learn how floor operates (or) safety application in general industry equivalent experience.

    + Knowledge of various areas production and maintenance

    + Writing skills

    + Computer skills

    + Communication skills

    + Bilingual important because many classes are being taught in languages other than English

    + Any other task as required

    Working Conditions

    + Combination of office setting as well as production and maintenance

    + Physical demands of this position include a great deal of walking and stair climbing

    + Exposure to various chemicals, machinery and knives likely

    + Work are includes slippery floors, temperature extremes and loud noise

    + General work 50-60 hours per week, 5-6 days a week and could be considered on call additional hours

    The Applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

    Benefits:

    + Base Salary: $49,585min-$60,246mid

    + Health, Dental, Vision coverage begins after 60 days of employment

    + Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays
