    *Clinical Nurse- Endoscopy Center*

    *SUMMARY*

     

    The primary purpose of the *Clinical Nurse* position with the *Endoscopy Center* is to coordinate and implement patient care across the continuum of care.

     

    *Endoscopy Clinical Nurse*

    * Utilizes objective and subjective assessment skills.

    * Utilizes critical thinking skills to recognize and solve patient problems.

    * Utilizes the nursing process and nursing standards to anticipate, prevent and manage actual/potential patient problem in the Endoscopy setting.

    * Identifies and participates in problem identification and resolution for patients, families and team.

    * Serves as a patient advocate.

    * Utilizes knowledge of age-specific care for patient age profiles including early, middle, and late adulthood.

    *Education*

     

    Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.

     

    *Experience*

    Preferred: One year Clinical Nursing experience

    *Certification/Licensure*

     

    Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if working in the following department: Nrsg Post Anesthesia Care Unit (600160).
