    Transit Management Analyst Trainee - $56,586

    Responsibilities

    + Create digital maps and perform spatial analyses using GIS tools.

    + Leverage data from the HxGN EAM software to support mapping and visualization efforts.

    + Develop visualizations related to assets, work, and defects to aid in operational efficiency.

    + Support Subway Divisions by providing actionable geographic insights to improve workflow and decision-making.

    + Collaborate with operations teams to understand needs and deliver effective GIS-based solutions.

    Education/Experience

    Transit Management Analyst Trainee:

    1. A master's degree from an accredited college in accounting, architecture, business administration, computer science, economics, engineering, engineering technology, finance, industrial psychology, mathematics, physics, public administration, public policy, transportation planning, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area; or

    2. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 credits in one of the areas listed in "1" above.

    + Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills

    + Ability to listen to customer problems and provide prompt solutions

    + Experience working in a help desk environment (desired, not required)

    + Organized and detail oriented, with proven ability to manage tasks and move projects and initiatives forward

    + Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize tasks

    + Excellent written communication skills

    + Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills

    + Possesses strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    + Proficiency in supporting mobile technology (iPhone, iPad)

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

    + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

    + Knowledge of Graphical Information Systems (GIS)

    + Knowledge of Power Bi reporting data

    + Knowledge of Genesys Cloud based system

    + Knowledge of Infor Database

    + Knowledge of Jira and Confluence

    Selection Method:

    Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

     

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
