We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a IT Budget Analyst I on our Information Technology team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.
This position supports the Director of IT Finance and Business Operations in budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, and contract management. It also provides operational support to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the broader IT organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Support
+ Support the annual budget development process, including data collection, analysis, and preparation of materials for review and submission
+ Analyze budget performance; assist department leaders in interpreting financial results and understanding variances from plan
+ Monitor budgets, including payment tracking, reallocation, capital requests, forecasting, and monthly reporting. Collaborate with AMA Finance to ensure alignment with financial policies and address potential concerns
+ Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decisions
+ Recommend ways to optimize budgets and improve financial performance; identify cost-saving opportunities through data analysis and financial trend evaluation
+ Assist in evaluating and refining financial processes, identifying areas where policies, procedures, or system practices could be enhanced to improve efficiency or accuracy
+ Maintains financial data, update budgets and track departmental expenses
+ Manage contract workflows in Ironclad, ensuring compliance and timely execution
+ Identify and recommend improvements to financial and operational practices
Operations and Administrative Support
+ Submit and reconcile expense reports
+ Coordinate internal and external communications for the CIO’s office
+ Schedule meetings and support planning of IT department events and engagement activities
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
+ Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is a plus
Experience:
+ 1+ years in a finance support or similar role
+ Experience with contract management systems (e.g., Ironclad) preferred
+ Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, QuickBooks, etc.) a plus
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
+ Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
+ Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
+ Effective written and verbal communication skills
+ Collaborative, team-oriented approach
This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $60,588 - $80,417. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
