    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Search & AI Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of intelligent enterprise-scale search solutions. This individual will drive architecture decisions for modern search experiences leveraging the Microsoft 365 ecosystem Azure AI Search and semantic AI technologies. You will play a pivotal role in defining the enterprise search strategy

    Responsibilities

    Architect and lead the design of endtoend search solutions across Microsoft 365 SharePoint and Azure AI Search

     

    Define and implement strategies for semantic search vector indexing and RetrievalAugmented Generation RAG at scale

     

    Collaborate with stakeholders to define enterprise content discovery and knowledge retrieval frameworks

     

    Evaluate and integrate AI technologies such as embeddings knowledge graphs and LLMpowered search to enhance user experience

     

    Architect integration patterns for BA Insight SmartHub Upland and connector ecosystems for both Microsoft and thirdparty data sources

     

    Provide technical leadership and governance on search platform architecture scalability performance and security

     

    Guide engineering teams on implementation best practices using React JavaScript TypeScript HTML and Python

     

    Design governance models for search index management metadata enrichment and AI document intelligence pipelines

     

    Partner with product owners and enterprise architects to align solutions with broader digital workplace initiatives

     

    Author and maintain architecture documentation data flow diagrams and technical decision records

    Required Qualifications

    Deep expertise in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Microsoft Search SharePoint Search and Graph API

     

    Proven experience architecting solutions using Azure AI Search or similar semantic search engines eg Elasticsearch with vector support Vespa etc

     

    Strong understanding of AIML concepts including embeddings vector databases semantic ranking and RAG pipelines

     

    Demonstrated ability to lead crossfunctional teams and influence architectural direction in a complex enterprise environment

     

    Solid knowledge of enterprise content management indexing strategies and search relevance tuning

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with Azure OpenAI Azure AI Document Intelligence and Cognitive Search enrichments

     

    Prior implementation experience with BA Insight SmartHub and custom connectors

     

    Handson knowledge of modern web technologies React TypeScript JavaScript HTMLCSS and scripting in Python

     

    Familiarity with metadata extraction taxonomy design and security trimming in search platforms

     

    Understanding of enterprise authentication and authorization protocols eg Entra ID OAuth SSO

    Strong verbal and written communication capable of translating technical concepts to business stakeholders

     

    Ability to lead technical discovery workshops produce architecture roadmaps and mentor engineering teams

     

    Passion for emerging technologies and staying ahead of the curve in AIpowered enterprise search

    Certifications Required

    + Certified Azure Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate

    **Salary and Other Compensation** :

     

    Applications will be accepted until June 23, 2025.

     

    The annual salary for this position is between $112,000 - $132,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

     

    This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
