What You'll Do:

As the **3PL Custom Operations Lead** , you will be the cornerstone of efficient warehouse operations, ensuring seamless cargo processing for **U.S. Customs inspections** while maintaining **compliance, safety, and workflow efficiency** .

Key Responsibilities:

• **Lead & Oversee Operations** – Manage teams for unloading, sorting, and reloading cargo with precision.

• **Ensure Compliance & Quality Standards** – Maintain safety, efficiency, and proper handling of shipments.

• **Train & Mentor Teams** – Provide hands-on training for optimal devanning, loading/unloading procedures.

• **Engage with Customs Officials** – Communicate effectively with **Mercer management** and **U.S. Customs agents** .

• **Maintain Warehouse Organization & Safety** – Promote a clean, hazard-free environment inside and outside.

• **Problem-Solve on the Fly** – Identify and address challenges to optimize workflows.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

• At least 2 years of forklift experience.

• At least 1 year of yard hostling experience.

• Self-directed with the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

• Proven leadership skills, including organization, motivation, and team building.

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.

• Must be teachable and able to follow instructions.

• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.

• Reliable transportation to and from work.

• Ability to lead by example in all aspects of the role.

• Ability to read, understand, and evaluate Bills of Lading, Shipping Manifests, and Delivery Orders.

• Experience in a customs or bonded warehouse preferred.

• Requires flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and overtime as necessary.

**Pay Details:** $23.00 per hour
