    **📍 Location:** Durham, NC (On-site)

    **💵 Pay Rate:** $27–$29/hr.

    **📅 Schedule:** Monday–Friday | 8AM–5PM

    **🕒 Duration:** 6-month contract (with potential to extend)

    • TOP 3 Must-Haves (Don’t skip these!):

    • **Bachelor’s or Master’s** in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or similar

    • **Hands-on lab experience** with **bacterial protein expression (E. coli)**

    • Proficient in **aseptic technique, protein extraction** , and **SDS-PAGE**

    • What You’ll Do:

    + Run **bacterial protein expression** protocols

    + Perform **cell lysis** (sonication, chemical, enzymatic)

    + Extract, analyze, and document proteins

    + Use SDS-PAGE + other analytical tools

    + Maintain **ELNs and SOPs**

    + Troubleshoot workflows and improve efficiency

    + Communicate clearly and **document everything meticulously**

    • Bonus Points If You Have:

    • Experience with **protein purification** : FPLC, chromatography

    • Familiarity with **high-throughput or automation systems**

    • Knowledge of **Western blotting** or other protein analysis methods

    • Method optimization skills

    The anticipated wage for this position is between $27/hr. and $29/hr. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location and other factors.
