_Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities_** **_:_
+ Ensure safe work environment for self and others by complying with all safety rules, requirements, and programs, as well as making suggestions to improve safety of the facility and personnel.
+ Support plant Quality, high performance culture and continuous improvement programs through active participation in QRMP, Quality Management Systems and plant productivity programs
+ This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Fort Smith, AR QRMP accountability document.
Technical:
+ Utilize Maintenance Windows to coordinate routine and non-routine activities on assigned equipment in order to ensure safety, product quality and optimum line efficiency. Work across shifts and functions as needed to effectively operate as a team
+ Owns Preventative Maintenance systems for the assigned area, focusing on ongoing development of preventative maintenance plan, defect handling (in support of AM) breakdown elimination, and scheduling of Maintenance Windows.
+ Supports development and leads portions of area’s 90-day loss elimination plan
+ Coaches and develops shift teams by serving as technical coach and resource
+ Actively participates in Line HPS meetings and execution of the daily plan
+ Must be able to write clear and concise presentations and communications
+ Utilize the CMMS system to document maintenance activities, order parts, schedule and develop work orders.
+ Perform all aspects of mechanical, electrical and preventative types of maintenance on various high-speed and packaging machinery
+ Trouble shooting
+ Read electrical prints and perform basic wiring up to 480 volts
+ Prioritize PM and AM activities with the weekly schedule
Leadership:
+ Maintain a good working relationship with associates on all shifts, while supporting plant and departmental goals and vision
+ Coaching Skills: Must be able to comfortably coach other employees on continuous improvement processes and systems; use principle centered coaching leadership and humble questioning
+ Problem Solving Skills: Must be able to solve complex problems
+ Communication Skills: Maintenance Lead will work with all levels of employees and management. They must be capable of preparing and giving individual and group presentations.
+ Organization Skills: must manage multiple tasks across multiple shifts
+ Drives breakthrough results in Planned and Unplanned downtime, and owns:
+ M&R cost for line
+ % planned maintenance and % PM’s complete
+ Breakdown reduction
+ Coaching and qualifying aspects of AM and PM activities with employees within the process
+ Organize and execute duties as directed by the owner of the process
+ Actively participate in team goal setting/implementation to ensure that we are a low cost, high quality producer
+ Conform to all Planters policies and procedures
+ Perform Sanitation and Housekeeping Activities and validate effectiveness
+ Serve as relief coordinator or operator as needed.
+ Management reserves the right, as it deems necessary to assign jobs on a temporary basis in any manner that supports efficient plant operations
_Basic or minimum Qualifications/Abilities_** **_:_
+ Minimum of two years of experience in industrial maintenance
+ Prefer experience in leadership role
+ Computer Skills: Must have strong computer and data entry skills. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CMMS/ Oracle/EAM software preferred.
+ Person must be able to perform and train self/others on basic mechanical skills, mechanical repairs and overhauls, maintenance systems, computer skills, new technologies in preventive/predictive maintenance, problem solving/troubleshooting, etc. where skills are not at the required level
+ Demonstrate good communication skills, both written and oral
+ Must obtain Powered Industrial Truck licensed and follow all safety rules and procedures
+ Must be willing to travel as required- 5%
+ All other duties as assigned in order to support efficient plant operations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Able to walk, stand, and sit for the duration of shift
+ Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead
+ Wear all Required Personal Protective Equipment, PPE, to perform job tasks
+ Ascend/Descend stairs and ladders throughout shift
+ Lift up to up to 50 pounds independently, and heavier weights with assistance
+ Able to give and understand instructions and hold conversations in manufacturing environment, as well as an office or classroom setting
+ Communicate with co-workers via face to face communication, radio, and phone.
+ Must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment, disassemble and reassemble equipment, operate a computer and other standard office equipment
+ Utilize phone and email for communication
+ Vision adequate to manipulate equipment controls, complete paperwork, utilize computers, and have depth perception.
+ Able to work at heights as needed. Including genie boom and scissor lift.
