From your PASSION to ours
The Category Analyst will assist the Sales Strategy team in managing a suite of tools and reports that will be used to identify leverageable insights, opportunities, and challenges, and provide strategic recommendations that drive business growth. The role will maintain, update and optimize reporting tools and share insights with the cross functional team. The Category Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Category Strategy and will work closely with the broader Sales Strategy team, Field Sales and the Brand Marketing team.
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
+ Maintain existing tools, dashboards and reports on a weekly / monthly basis that are leveraged by the Lactalis US Yogurt cross-functional team.
+ Leverage syndicated data and tools to identify key trends, opportunities, and challenges that can be leveraged to build meaningful strategies.
+ Identify & create new tools and reporting that can help strengthen the Sales Strategy suite of tools and fill in any gaps in insights.
+ Assist the Sales Strategy team in continuing to “raise the bar” in reporting and analytics.
+ Develop & deliver ad hoc analysis for internal Lactalis US Yogurt functions, including Brand, Field Sales, and other functions.
+ Partner with our data vendors on reporting needs.
+ Manage monthly Category tools/data budget reconciliation. Support vendor contracts management.
From your STORY to ours
Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Associate’s degree preferred.
+ 1-3 years of experience in a sales analyst or related role.
+ Background in business development, category management, or sales strategy is a plus.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong PowerPoint skills required.
+ Hands-on experience with syndicated and shopper data tools (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, Numerator, Household Panel, SPINS).
+ Ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable insights and compelling presentations.
+ Works well across functions with a collaborative and team-first mindset.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization.
+ Demonstrates a solid understanding of business dynamics and strategic thinking.
+ Approaches challenges with structured thinking and attention to detail to develop practical solutions.
+ Thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a proactive, solutions-oriented attitude.
+ Leverages data to uncover insights and drive business growth through data-driven recommendations.
+ Combines analytical skills with curiosity to elevate category performance and drive continuous improvement.
+ Ability to travel as business needs require.
