As a Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical solutions. Your strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies will ensure that the products developed under your leadership meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your proficiency in CAD software and other design tools will enable you to effectively oversee the design process and ensure the delivery of innovative and high-performance mechanical solutions. You will report directly to our **1** and you will work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will play a critical role in leading and driving the mechanical design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable products. Your insights and recommendations will help drive the company's strategic direction in mechanical design and development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and drive the mechanical design process, from concept to production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications
• Design and develop complex mechanical systems, components, and assemblies
• Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies

YOU MUST HAVE
+ 5 to 10 years of experience in explicit dynamics & high-speed impact types of analysis to conduct engine fan blade containment analysis Like:
+ Classical hand calculation & Finite Element Analyses (FEA). The required FEA tool experience is a minimum of 5 years of experience using LS-DYNA.
+ Engine containment test support

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
+ Proven track record of successful mechanical design projects
+ Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
+ Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices
+ Experience with product testing and validation
+ Proven track record of 3+ years of static structural analysis
+ Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
