    The Communication Dispatcher provides telephone service for all hospital departments, physicians and outside callers for Physician's Answering Service and the Hospital.

    Requirements:

    + High school graduate or equivalent

    + 6 months – 1 year experience

    Major Responsibilities:

    1. Answers all incoming/outgoing hospital and Physician Answering Service calls through the telephone switchboard system.

    2. Monitors security system.

    3. Receives and documents all emergency calls for Physician Answering Service.

    4. Compiles daily on-call schedules from numerous calendars.

    5. Dispatches security staff via radio.

    6. Pages employees and physicians as requested.
