Job Title: Sr. Financial Accountant
Schedule: Hybrid Schedule - Three Days on Site, Two Remote Days (Mon-Fri)
Pay: $50 to $60 per Hour (40 Hours Weekly)
Job Description:
The Sr. Financial Accountant will manage selected accounting and reporting processes for the financial institution. Responsibilities include documenting and reviewing internal control processes, overseeing financial audits, managing tax matters, maintaining transfer pricing documentation, and supporting financial or operational reporting. The role involves close collaboration with the Corporate Finance team and reports to the Head of Corporate Finance.
Responsibilities:
+ Conduct assessments of the internal control environment, review processes within Corporate Finance teams, and recommend improvements.
+ Lead audit engagements, demonstrating strong leadership and fostering a collaborative team environment. Support semi-annual goodwill valuation assessments.
+ Oversee tax matters for U.S. federal, state, and local taxes, as well as selected offshore taxes. Collaborate with external firms for tax provision and return preparations.
+ Manage intercompany service level agreements and update transfer pricing documentation periodically.
+ Support financial reporting and preparation of financial statements on a consolidated or stand-alone basis.
+ Assist with other Corporate Finance activities, including strategic projects and capital management.
+ Perform additional duties to support other financial and business functions as needed.
Essential Skills:
+ Degree in Accounting or Finance.
+ Experience in public or private industry.
+ Background in audit and tax.
+ Expertise in financial reporting, accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end processes.
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
+ Minimum of 5 years in auditing or similar analytical roles.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
+ Experience with Workday Financials general ledger application preferred.
+ Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
+ Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
+ Analytical, detail-oriented, and a motivated problem solver.
+ Understanding of core corporate finance and accounting concepts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and liaise with global divisions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
