Responsibilities

The Wound Ostomy/Continence RN develops and coordinates the hospital Wound & Ostomy Care program. This position is located in the outpatient Wound Care department and assists with complex inpatient wound/ostomy patients. As the lead in the Wound care program, you will plan and stage treatments. You must be able to work independently, monitoring and maintaining the Wound Care program, along with with becoming a part of our Wound Care Collabortive Committee for Northern California. This position is part of a five person team.

This is a part-time 48 hours (every two weeks) position, allowing you to work a flexible schedule For instance, you could work 8 hours on a Monday, 6 hours on Tuesday, 4 hours on Wednesday and 6 hours on Friday.

Qualifications

Minimum:

+ Must have proof of completing an accredited WON or WOCN Program

+ Must be a Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) Certification or Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) certification

+ RN experience in clinical setting. Must be willing to be trained in and care for patients needing HBOT and TCO2 assessments

+ BSN in Nursing required or evidence of pursuing on a continuing basis.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA required.

+ California RN license

+ Verbal and written communication and presentation skills, strong computer skills

Pay Range

$65.29 - $79.28 /hour
