Job Title: Housing Specialist

Schedule: Full-Time, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation: $24.07 - $26.45 per hour, plus an additional $100 per month for commuting/parking costs

About Us:

Join our dedicated team committed to making a difference in the lives of economically and socially disadvantaged individuals and families. We are seeking passionate and detail-oriented Housing Specialists to support our Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Conduct annual and interim re-certifications, manage new admissions, transfers, port-ins/port-outs, special program referrals, terminations, and rent adjustments for HCV Program participants.

+ Communicate changes and outcomes related to interim re-certifications to participants and property owners promptly.

+ Collect and verify essential documentation, including income and household data, to assess continued eligibility for housing assistance.

+ Schedule and conduct participant re-certification appointments and interviews, ensuring a smooth and informative process.

+ Track and monitor participant relocations, lease terminations, and other housing transitions to ensure compliance and support.

+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in relevant databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

+ Conduct participant briefings to explain HUD regulations and administrative procedures clearly and effectively.

+ Prepare and submit timely weekly and program-related reports to management.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience working with economically and socially disadvantaged individuals and families.

+ Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.

+ Proficient in basic math and calculations.

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

+ Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

+ Ability to work effectively in a remote environment as needed.

+ Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

+ Proven ability to meet productivity goals while maintaining high accuracy.

+ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

+ Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
