Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our team as a General Production Worker, where you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. You will be responsible for rolling pipe onto coiling machines, tying them with twine, and transporting rolls and bundles to their assigned staging areas. Your ability to maintain line speed will help ensure the smooth flow of production and prevent excess pipe from accumulating. You will also support block changes and changeover processes as needed, and complete accurate, real-time reporting. This position involves working with tools like trimming knives and shrink-wrapping machines.

Responsibilities

+ Roll pipe onto coiling machines and tie with twine.

+ Transport rolls and bundles to assigned staging areas.

+ Maintain line speed to ensure smooth production flow.

+ Prevent excess pipe from accumulating.

+ Support block changes and changeover processes.

+ Complete accurate, real-time reporting.

+ Work with trimming knives and shrink-wrapping machines.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to stand on feet for 8+ hours a day.

+ Capability to lift 30+ lbs.

+ Production or manufacturing experience.

+ Detasseling or previous farming experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ General labor skills.

+ Warehouse experience.

+ Farming and outdoor work experience.

+ Experience in coiling, physical labor, tile, construction, and packaging.

Work Environment

Located in Jesup, Iowa, our facility manufactures corrugated, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) drainage pipe for agricultural field drainage, storm water management, and culverts. The work environment does not have air conditioning, making it warm during summer months. Appropriate attire includes pants or shorts (denim or similar, but not sport shorts) with a belt and t-shirts. Steel or safety toe shoes are required, and clothing must be free of profanity and rips or tears. While cell phones are allowed on the floor, we provide safety glasses, ear plugs, and gloves as needed. Employees may work shifts, including 1st (7-3), 2nd (3-11), and 3rd (11-7), with some Saturdays required for overtime during busy periods. Be sure to clock in five minutes before your shift starts to avoid attendance penalties.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jesup, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
