    Job Title: Medical Technologist

    + Second Shift (M-F: hours can be somewhat flexible)

    Responsibilities

    + Operate general chemistry and perform manual methods and other instrumentation in the laboratory area.

    + Analyze and organize work by matching computer orders with specimen labeling, sorting specimens, checking labeling, logging specimens, and arranging reports for delivery.

    + Maintain clean and orderly work surfaces.

    + Monitor test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.

    + Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and troubleshooting, and calibrating equipment using approved testing procedures.

    + Process and test upwards of 1000 samples per shift.

    + Work with blood and urine samples to perform necessary testing.

    + Maintain records to demonstrate proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Lab Science or Chemistry.

    + Minimum of 3 months of industry experience in a clinical lab setting.

    + Chemistry bench experience in healthcare (urine/blood testing).

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced lab environment.

    + Ability to process 1000+ samples per shift.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
