Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Shift: First

Hours: 7 am-4pm

Pay: $29 per hour

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for changing motors, pumps, gearboxes, and controls ranging from 24 Volt to 120 Volt systems. You will diagnose problems and perform repairs in a safe and timely manner while maintaining production equipment such as grease, oil, and filters. Basic welding and fabrication skills are desired but not required. Experience with PLCs is helpful, and you should have the ability to read schematics for pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of 480V and 240V systems is essential. While 5+ years of experience is desired, it is not mandatory.

Responsibilities

+ Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production and processing equipment, as well as utility-related equipment.

+ Support the installation of new equipment.

+ Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.

+ Promote teamwork consistent with the company's mission, vision, and core values.

+ Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, reporting any safety-related issues.

+ Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work in compliance with corporate, regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

+ Maintain safe working conditions and comply with state and federal health and safety regulations.

+ Work independently to troubleshoot and make mechanical and electrical repairs.

+ Dedicate effort to safety, ensuring every employee leaves work in the same condition as they arrived.

+ Report any nonconformities in GMP policies and procedures.

+ Attend required training sessions, including Safety, GMP, HACCP, and SQF.

+ Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP) to search, create, document, and close maintenance work orders.

+ Source and order maintenance items from catalog suppliers.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Electrical troubleshooting and mechanical skills.

+ Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics.

+ Preventive maintenance expertise.

+ PLC troubleshooting knowledge.

+ 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Basic welding and fabrication - Tig and Stick.

+ Experience with mechanical repairs on boilers and food equipment.

+ Willingness to train on troubleshooting skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $60320.00/yr.

Given 2 weeks PTO right away, a month after hire. from 1-6 years of service you will earn a total of 144 hours. Cannot carry hours over into the next year, but can at end of year cash in up to 40 hours of PTO.

32 hours of sick leave for the year - will be prorated based on when their start date is if they get the full amount right away.

Retirement with 401k match up to 3%
