Job Title: Ship Builder Welder – Ideally ABS Certified** **( 6g/Pipe/Structural)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced and ABS Certified Welders to join our team for new shipbuilding projects. This role involves both pipe and structural welding, requiring proficiency in 6G position welding using MIG and Stick processes. Candidates must be safety-conscious, dependable, and capable of working in a fast-paced marine construction environment.

Responsibilities

+ Perform high-quality welding on pipe and structural components in accordance with ABS standards.

+ Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures.

+ Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently using MIG and Stick techniques.

+ Conduct inspections of welds to ensure compliance with specifications.

+ Collaborate with shipbuilding teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Essential Skills

+ ABS Certification.

+ Proficiency in 6G welding position.

+ Experience with MIG and Stick welding processes.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Prior experience in shipbuilding or marine fabrication.

+ Familiarity with shipyard safety practices.

Work Environment

Work takes place at P&R Shipyard, operating Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The environment is fast-paced and focuses on safety and precision in welding tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
